Longest range electric cars in 2024

With EV demand surging, car manufacturers are rapidly designing and rolling out new makes and models that cater to our ever-changing needs. And with every new EV comes improvements, including the range EVs can travel.

Some EVs have longer range due to their big batteries, and others due to their incredible efficiency. Both are great for long-distance driving, but efficient can have more of a benefit day to day.

1. Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ (395 miles)

One of the longest range electric cars you'll find in 2024, is the Mercedes EQS. It can cover 395 miles per charge - that’s almost five hours of straight driving.

2. Mercedes-Benz EQE (320 miles)

Another Mercedes that can go the distance is the EQE. Covering 320  miles per charge, the EQE reduces the need to use a charging point mid-journey, making it almost as impressive as its older sister, the EQS.

3. BMW i4 eDrive 40 (320 miles)

Customisable, spacious, comfortable, and able to travel 320 miles per charge - the BMW i4 is number three on our list of electric cars with the longest range in 2024.

4. BMW i7 (300 miles)

The BMW i7 is one of the fastest-charging electric cars in 2024 - around 100 miles (WLTP) of range in just over ten minutes using a 150 kW charger.

5. Polestar 3 (305 miles)

An all-round eco-friendly SUV,  the Polestar 3 follows the BMX i7 closely when it comes to an electric car with the longest range. The long-range dual-motor model covers 305 miles on a single charge.

6. Tesla Model 3 (300 miles)

Able to cover 300 miles of driving time on a single charge, the Tesla Model 3 is among the most reliable longest range electric cars available in the UK.

7. Lotus Eletre (300 miles)

The Eletre is the first SUV in Lotus’ history. With a 300-mile real-world range and an 800-volt architecture that can accept charging speeds of up to 350 kW - you’ll be on your way in no time.

8. Ford Mustang Mach-E (300 miles)

Performance, speed, range, and impressive interior make the Ford Mustang Mach-E a popular choice. The 91kWh battery and RWD model boasts a 300-mile battery range.

9. Volkswagen ID.3  (280 miles)

As you contemplate which electric car has the longest range, be sure to take the Volkswagen ID.3  into consideration. A brilliant hatchback EV that’s also super comfortable to drive.

10. Polestar 2 MY24 (280 miles)

Polestar 2 has had an upgrade. It can now charge up to 205 kW (previously 155 kW) and the new boost in battery means an increase in range to over 300 (WLTP).
