What is EV Saver?

So, what is EV Saver you may ask? Think Intelligent Octopus Go, but better. It's our discounted energy tariff, exclusive to Octopus EV drivers.

This energy tariff saves you an extra 1p on off-peak rates - meaning you'll get six hours of guaranteed cheap energy during off-peak hours.

Yes, that's right. Our Octopus EV drivers can now save even more money on home charging with this exclusive, discounted energy tariff.

Intelligent Octopus Go - EV Saver means that our drivers can now charge their EV (and power their home) during off-peak hours for 6p per kWh.

Switch to Intelligent

Make sure you're on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff

Head to MyAccount

Head over to your Octopus EV MyAccount

Fill out the form and link your Octopus Energy account

Am I eligible for Intelligent Octopus Go - EV Saver?

You're eligible for our exclusive, discounted energy tariff if:

  • You're an Octopus EV driver
  • You have a smart meter
  • You have a compatible EV or charger
  • You're already on (or have switched to) Intelligent Octopus Go

You can check to see whether your car or EV is compatible on Octopus Energy's website.

Already an Octopus EV customer?

If you’re already set up with us at OEV, you can go into your account and register the tariff switch in there.

Link your Octopus accounts and make the switch to get all the Octopus benefits of your lease.

The tariff gives us at least 5 hours of electricity over night. When combined with solar generation in the day we are very pleased with the average daily pence per kWh. The website and app make it all easy to monitor and manage.

If you’re already on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, head over to your Octopus EV MyAccount and fill out the form. You’ll be switched over within seven days.

If you aren’t already on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, you’ll need to switch to this first. To switch, head over to Octopus Energy’s website. You’ll need to have a smart meter and a compatible home charger or car.

Once you’ve switched, you can then head over to your MyAccount and fill out the form to get access to the EV Saver rate.
