Your home charger

Want to find out more about home chargers and home charger installation? You’ve come to the right place.

A home charger is included in both our Salary Sacrifice and Personal leasing packages.

If your home charger is included in your agreement, the process works like this:

1. After your order has been submitted, we’ll send you an online form to apply for your charger. The form asks you for a few details, like where you’d like your charger to be installed (it doesn’t have to be at your home address).
2. Our sister company, Octopus Energy Services, will get in touch with you to organise the installation.

We aim to ensure that Octopus Energy has installed the charger before your car is delivered, but unfortunately, this is not always the case.

It’s also important to know that we do offer Standard Installation in our offer, which should cover most homes in the UK, and almost all new builds. But not every installation is the same, and your driveway, and the location of your main source of electricity will be different to others.

If the Standard Installation doesn’t cover you, you can top up the additional work as required (at an extra cost). But remember, the home charger is yours to keep forever!

If you decide to cancel your order after your charger has been installed you will have to pay for the charger. Check out our T&Cs to find out more.

If you want to move or remove your charger at a later date, you’ll need to pay for this. The Octopus Energy Services team can help if needed.

All our chargers work with Octopus Energy’s smart EV tariff - Intelligent Octopus Go. If you decide to go with us for an EV charger, someone from the Octopus Energy Group will handle your application.

In your application, make sure you upload a photo of everything that the form requests, as well as your MPAN number.
