What happens if your home charger is included in your agreement?

If you have your EV through our salary sacrifice or personal contract hire agreement (aka ‘the ultimate EV package’), you may have chosen to get a home EV charger as part of the package. Here’s what you need to know:

  • A few weeks before your delivery, we’ll send you an online form to apply for your charger. This asks for a few details including where you’d like the charger to be installed.
  • Our sister company, Octopus Energy Services, will get in touch to organise the installation.
  • We’ll aim to install the charger before your car is delivered, but unfortunately this isn’t always possible depending on how soon your car is arriving.
  • Only the standard installation is free. If installing your charger is more complicated than our standard installation, it may cost extra to get you set up. We'll give you a quote for any extra work before we go ahead.


Cancelling or moving your charger

  • If you decide to cancel your order after your charger has been installed you will have to pay for the charger. Check out our T&Cs to find out more.
  • If you want to move or remove your charger at a later date, you’ll need to pay for this. The Octopus Energy Services team can help if needed.

What happens if your home charger isn’t included in your agreement?

  • If you’re leasing through Business Contract Hire, you can view the options Octopus Electric vehicles offer and apply for an installation below
  • Once completed, our sister company Octopus Energy Services will handle your application and organise the installation of your charge point.
  • In your application, make sure you upload a photo of everything that the form requests, as well as your MPAN number.
