Here’s all you need to know about insuring your EV:

What do I do if my Insurance is included?

If insurance is included in your package, it will be active from the delivery date.

Our insurance partner will email you your insurance certification on the day of delivery.

Please check that all details on your certificate are correct for you and any additional drivers (such as the spelling of; your name, your address, any additional drivers, etc.) If you notice something isn’t right, please let us know and we’ll get it sorted.

If you have any queries about your insurance cover, need to notify or report any changes, or need to add an additional driver during the term of your agreement (this may incur a cost, as per the terms and conditions of our insurance provider), please get in touch with us.

What do I do if insurance isn’t included in your EV package?

If your insurance isn’t included in your EV package, you’ll need to arrange your own. You’ll need to email us a copy of the insurance certificate at least seven days before your car is delivered. If we don’t receive this, delivery of your EV will be delayed.

You’ll also need to send us your insurance renewal certificates every year.

We’re not able to advise on insurance providers, but your insurance must: 

  • Be fully comprehensive
  • Be issued to the correct registration
  • Be issued to the correct specification of your car
  • Cover both you and any additional drivers on your quotation
  • Be valid for the minimum term
    • 12 months if you’re on our salary sacrifice or personal contract hire agreements
    • 9 months if you’re on our business contract hire agreement
  • Be personal insurance and not business or fleet insurance (if you have a salary sacrifice agreement)
  • Cover business use (if you have a Business Contract Hire agreement)
