What’s Intelligent Octopus Go?
- Intelligent Octopus Go gives you six hours of cheap, green energy from 11.30 pm to 5.30 am every night at a super low rate of 7p per kWh. If you're one of our drivers, you also get access to our exclusive EV Saver rate - saving you an extra 1p per kWh on Intelligent Octopus Go.
- This means you can charge your car overnight when energy is cheapest and greenest.
- Intelligent Octopus Go pairs with your Ohme Home Pro charger and your smart meter, so you can charge when energy is cheapest and greenest.
How do I switch?
- Want to switch to Intelligent Octopus Go? Head to the Octopus Energy website or app to find out more.
- It’s worth knowing that it takes around 3-4 days to switch if you have your smart charger and home EV charger ready.
- You also need to make sure that your car and charger are eligible - you can use the Octopus Energy eligibility checker to do this.
What if I don’t want to switch straight away?
No worries. You can still switch at a later date and you’ll still be able to claim the 4,000 mile credit.

What's Intelligent Octopus Go - EV Saver?
As an Octopus EV customer, you now get Octopus Energy's exclusive, discounted energy tariff - Intelligent Octopus Go - EV Saver. With this discounted tariff you'll save an extra 1p on cheaper off-peak rates.
How do I sign up to Intelligent Octopus Go - EV Saver?
If you’re already on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, head over to your Octopus EV account and fill out the form. You’ll be switched over within seven days.
If you aren’t already on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, you’ll need to switch to this first. To switch, head over to Octopus Energy’s website. You’ll need to have a smart meter and a compatible home charger or car.
Once you’ve switched, you can then head over to your Octopus EV account and fill out the form to get access to the EV Saver rate.
