Saving Season Terms & Conditions - Win A Year's Worth of Home Energy

The promoter of this offer is Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited, reg number 10754317 registered address UK House, 5th Floor, 164-182 Oxford St, London W1D 1NN. Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference number 809736.

These Terms and Conditions apply to the promotional event hosted by Octopus Electric Vehicles, running from the 1st of September 2025 to the 30th September 2025 (“Saving Season”). You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The provision of home energy is provided by Octopus Energy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09263424), with its registered office at United Kingdom House, 164-182 Oxford St, London W1D 1NN (“Octopus Energy”). All queries and support relating to home energy and your energy provider switching process (if applicable) will be handled by Octopus Energy Limited.

Subject to the eligibility criteria and terms below, you will be eligible if you:

  1. Order any electric vehicle via an Octopus Electric Vehicles Salary Sacrifice scheme provided to you via your employer between the 1st of September 2025 to the 30th September 2025; OR
  2. Order any electric vehicle via Octopus Electric Vehicles Personal Contract Hire scheme between the 1st of September 2025 to the 30th September 2025.
    1. Please note that vehicles ordered through the “Power Pack Bundle” (vehicle-to-grid) are not eligible for this promotion.

There will be a total of 10 (ten) eligible prize winners: 5 (five) customers who order a vehicle through a Salary Sacrifice scheme via their workplace benefits, and 5 (five) customers who order a vehicle through Personal Contract Hire subject to the terms and eligibility criteria below.

The following terms and eligibility criteria apply:

  1. Entrants must be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older and residents of Great Britain.
  2. Entrants must be current customers of Octopus Energy, or can make the switch to Octopus Energy as their home energy provider.
  3. If the entrant is not the energy account holder (e.g. in rented accommodation), they must have explicit permission from the energy account holder or homeowner to switch energy providers to Octopus Energy, if required as part of the prize conditions.
  4. At the time of the draw, the vehicle needs to:
    1. have been signed for and approved by the employing companies approval contact (if on Salary Sacrifice),
    2. your personal contract hire agreement must be signed (if on leasing through Personal Contract Hire).

The “Saving Season” giveaway - “Win a year's worth of home energy”

  1. All qualifying entries submitted during the Promotional Period (1st of September 2025 to 30th September 2025) will be entered into the prize draw. Winners will be selected at random from those entries.
  2. To claim the prize, the winner must be an Octopus Energy customer, or eligible to switch to Octopus Energy. If this condition is not met, Octopus Electric Vehicles reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select a new winner.
  3. Entries are limited to one per person, after meeting the eligibility criteria above.
  4. The draw will take place within 14 (fourteen) days of the end of the Promotional Period (by 14th October 2025).
  5. A total of 10 (ten) winners will be selected at random: 5 (five) from eligible Salary Sacrifice vehicle orders and 5 (five) from eligible Personal Contract Hire vehicle orders.
  6. The winners will be notified using the contact information provided on the lease agreement within 30 days of the prize draw.
  7. The prize consists of the equivalent of one year’s worth of home energy, calculated using Ofgem’s definition of medium domestic consumption, an average electricity consumed by an EV travelling up to 10,000 miles, and Octopus Energy’s Standard Variable Rates (Flexible Octopus) on 1st August 2025. The calculation has been worked out assuming a household size of 2-3 persons and an average EV driving up to 10,000 miles, as detailed below. The amount that will be credited is £2,361 and is the full and final energy credit that will be applied.
    1. The energy credit is worked out using the following calculations:
      1. A medium domestic household’s usage as defined by Ofgem (2-3 bedroom, 2-3 occupants).
      2. 2700kWh [of typical annual electricity use] * 26.39p/kWh [current Electricity price per kWh on Flexible Octopus] = £712.53 (rounded up to £713)
      3. 11,500kWh [of typical annual Gas use] * 6.26p/kWh [current Gas price per kWh on Flexible Octopus] = £719.90 (rounded up to £720)
      4. 2,500kWh of electricity to cover up to 10,000 miles of electric vehicle charging (based on 4 miles p/kWh, as outlined in our full charging Terms and Conditions).
        1. 2,500 x 26.39p/kWh [current Electricity price per kWh on Flexible Octopus] = £659.75 (rounded up to £660)
      5. Standing charges = Electricity: (365 * 44.78p) + Gas: (365 * 28.59p) = £267.80 (rounded up to £268)
      6. For a total of: £2,361
  8. The prize will be applied as a credit to the winner’s Octopus Energy account within 4 (four) weeks of the prize draw date (11 November 2025) or 2 (two) weeks following the delivery of the vehicle, whichever is later. If you are switching to Octopus Energy in order to claim this prize, we will credit the account as soon as possible after the switch is successful, or after the vehicle is delivered.
  9. By entering, you consent to being contacted using the contact details provided on your lease agreement, if you are selected as one of the winners.
  10. Winners of this prize forfeit access to any additional home charging credit available through any other promotions or limited time offers.
  11. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
  12. If you cancel your order before taking delivery of your vehicle, or if you return your Personal Contract Hire vehicle during the "cooling off period", no additional credit or cash reimbursement will be provided.

Data Protection and Publicity

  1. By entering “Saving Season”, you consent to the reasonable use of your name for promotional purposes, including on the Octopus Electric vehicles website, in email communications, and in marketing materials.

  4. Octopus Electric Vehicle’s reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer in order to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or in response to unexpected circumstances.
