How to use the Tesla App

This might be the first time you've had an app for your car, so here are some tips and info to get you started with the Tesla app.

  • You don't need to have proof of ownership of the vehicle, as Octopus Electric Vehicles are the owners.
  • To log in you'll need to use the name and email you used to sign up to the salary sacrifice scheme, which will automatically link the car to your app.
  • Activating the app to link it to your Tesla can take a few days, especially in busy periods.
  • Once you've logged in you'll receive an email to validate your account. This is only valid for 10 minutes but if you need a new one just follow the link to the Tesla website to request a new password.
  • We can add your additional driver onto your account once your Tesla has moved to the fleet portal. This can take a few weeks.
  • If you want to activate your premium connectivity subscription after your 30 day free trial you can do this in the app.
