It's cheaper to get a used EV on salary sacrifice - here's why

They typically cost up to half as much to maintain as their petrol equivalent, benefit from over-the-air software updates to keep it modern and safe, and batteries come with 8-year manufacturer warranties. 

See how the MG4 EV compares for Mo on his £50k salary. For context, he’s 40 years old, lives in TW1 1AH, and is looking at a 36-month plan with 5,000 miles per year. We’ve compared this with an approved-used 2024 MG4 EV that already has 11,554 miles on the clock.

And here’s what it would look like if Mo treated himself to a BYD ATTO 3, using the same assumptions as before. We’ve compared it with an approved-used 2023 ATTO 3 that already has 33,396 miles on the clock.
