What do the numbers mean?
We know information can be overwhelming, especially if you’re new to EVs. Here are some handy definitions to help you get to grips with the lingo.

Battery size | Useable battery - actual amount of energy (kWh) available for vehicle range, after other things like vehicle BMS has been accounted for. The vehicle’s total (nominal) battery will be stated on your documents. |
Est. range | Estimated "real world range" range in miles, please note this may vary depending on factors such as (but not limited to) weather conditions & driving style. It is provided as an indication only and may differ from the manufacturer’s specified total range. |
0-62 (acceleration) | 0–62 is a simple way to show how quickly an EV can accelerate, measuring the time it takes to go from a standstill to 62 miles per hour. It’s a quick snapshot of how punchy and responsive the car feels when you press the accelerator. |
Drive | Describes which wheels deliver power to the road, such as Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD). It helps explain how an EV feels to drive, from sporty handling to extra grip and confidence in different conditions. |
Body type | Refers to the vehicle’s overall shape and style, such as a hatchback, saloon or SUV. It gives a quick sense of the EV’s size, interior space, and how it fits different lifestyles - from sleek and efficient to roomy and versatile. |
Seats | The number of passengers able to travel in the car. It’s a quick way to understand whether the car is best suited for solo commuting, family trips or otherwise. |

We take vehicle details from Electric Vehicle Database. We keep these details up to date as much as possible, but specifications may change over time. This could be as a result of several factors. For example, as the delivery volume of a model increases, the manufacturer might review the initial advertised range and update this to be more accurate to real world data.
