Scheme Anniversary Prize Draw - Terms & Conditions

The promoter of this offer is Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited, company number 10754317 registered address UK House, 5th Floor, 164-182 Oxford St, London W1D 1NN. Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference number 809736.

These Terms and Conditions apply to the promotional event titled 'Prize Draw' hosted by Octopus Electric Vehicles. By signing up to host a Prize Draw the organisation agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility criteria:

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible to host and subsequently enter a Prize Draw and win the Prize Hamper:

  1. Individual or group organisations who are signed up to a live Octopus Electric Vehicles' Salary Sacrifice scheme are eligible to sign up to host a prize draw.
  2. To sign up to host a prize draw and select the start date for the "Prize Draw Period" a representative from an organisation must complete this form. Once an organisation is signed up to host, they will receive entry forms to share with their employees.
  3. The prize draw is open to employees of an individual or group organisation signed up to a live Octopus Electric Vehicles' Salary Sacrifice Scheme and signed up to host a prize draw as set out in clause 1.2.
  4. Organisations are committing to two prize draws, each running for a 7-day period consecutively.

Meeting the above eligibility criteria and submitting a valid entry (outlined in clause 3 "How to enter") will allow the entrant to be eligible for a chance to win "The Prize Hamper" (the details of which are included in clause 2 below). 

2. The Prize Hamper

  1. The Prize: There will be two prize draws running over two consecutive 7-day periods with one prize per prize draw. The "Prize Hamper" is a sustainable hamper provided by Five Valley Hampers.
  2. The total retail value of each "Prize Hamper" will be £50.00.
  3. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. 
  4. Octopus Electric Vehicles reserves the right to substitute the Prize Hamper with an alternative prize of equal or greater value if the "Prize Hamper" as stipulated in clause 2.1 is not available.

3. How to enter:

  1. To qualify as an Entrant you must meet the criteria set out in clause 1.3.
  2. Entrants must enter during the 'Prize Draw Period' selected by their organisation representative set out in clause 1.2.
  3. Entrants can only enter the Prize Draw themselves once via completing an entry form received from their organisation promoting the prize draw as set out in clause 1.2
  4. Octopus Electric Vehicles reserves the right to disqualify multiple or bulk entries from individuals or third parties, incomplete entries, and entries submitted via automated means such as computer generated macros, scripts, or any other form of automated process.

4. Prize Draw winner confirmation:

  1. The winner of each Prize Draw will be selected at random from all valid entries.
  2. The winner will be contacted by email within 24 hours of the prize draw closing date.
  3. Winner verification: The winner will have 14 days to claim their prize, if the winner does not respond within the 14 days, a new winner will be selected.
  4. The hamper prizes will be delivered to the address provided by the winner, within 14 days of claiming their prize.
  5. Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited are not responsible for delivery delays caused by issues related to the winners address or the delivery company.

5. General:

  1. There must be a minimum of 10 valid entries for each 7-day prize draw in order for a winner to be drawn. If less than 10 people enter, Octopus Electric Vehicles' reserves the right to void the prize draw.
  2. No purchase is necessary to enter into the Prize Draw.
  3. Octopus Electric Vehicles reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Prize Draw where necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations .
  4. Octopus Electric Vehicles will not be liable for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss) or damage arising in connection with accepting or using the Prize Hamper, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (such as death or personal injury caused by its negligence).
  5. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

6. Data protection, use and publicity:

  1. By entering, participants consent to their personal data being processed for the administration of this Prize Draw.
  2. As part of the entry process, participants will be added to Octopus Electric Vehicles’ marketing mailing list. Participation in the Prize Draw does not require participants to remain subscribed. 
  3. Participants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time - including immediately after entering via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of their confirmation email - without affecting the validity of their Prize Draw entry.
  4. Personal data collected will be handled in accordance with UK data protection law and Octopus Electric Vehicle’s privacy policy: https://octopusev.com/privacy-policy 
  5. Octopus Electric Vehicles is required by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) to demonstrate that a valid award took place and must provide information and named winning entry (name and county) to the ASA if requested. The winner's surname and county of residence will be made available upon written request to Octopus Electric Vehicles one month after the draw date, for a period of 8 weeks.
  6. The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity related to the prize draw, including the use of their name and/or photo. Participation is at the winner’s discretion.

7. Accessibility and reasonable adjustments:

  1. In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Octopus Electric Vehicles is committed to ensuring that no participant is placed at a substantial disadvantage due to a disability. Where these Terms and Conditions specify that potential winners must confirm their entry via email, Octopus Electric Vehicles will provide reasonable alternative verification methods for participants who are unable to use the email due to disability, including but not limited to phone call, text message, video relay service, or any other accessible communication channel deemed suitable. Eligible participants requiring an adjustment may contact Octopus Electric Vehicles to request an alternative verification method, and Octopus Electric Vehicles will take reasonable steps to ensure that all participants are given an equal opportunity to confirm their entry and claim the prize.
