Demo Quote Tool Troubleshooting
We're thrilled that you're interested in gaining demo access to check out the slick experience offered by our market-leading platform. This user friendly, online tool has been tailor designed and developed in-house by our tech team here at Octopus Electric Vehicles with our customers in mind.
How to gain access:
Step 1 - Input your email address into the quote tool
Step 2 - Receive an automated email from hello@octopusev.com containing a temporary 6 digit login code (it’ll expire after 30 mins)
Step 3 - Copy & paste or input this 6 digit login code into the quote tool
Step 4 - Input the DEMO code that has been provided to you by your main contact at Octopus Electric Vehicles
Step 5 - You’ve successfully logged in, enjoy!
Still can't log in?
Sometimes things can go wrong with tech, here are some top troubleshooting tips to help resolve your login issues:
- Have you double checked that you’ve inputted your correct email address into the quote tool?
- Have you waited at least 2 minutes to receive the automated email and refreshed your inbox?
- Have you checked that the automated email containing the 6 digit code hasn’t filtered into your spam or junk folder?
- Are you using the code found within your latest email from hello@octopusev.com? (FYI - a new code/email will be generated each time that you input your email address)
- Has your code expired (after 30 minutes)? If so, Press the “Send another code” button or if you cannot see this, input your email address again.
- Have you checked that the temporary 6 digit code that you’ve input doesn’t contain any spaces - “123 456” or “ 123456”
- Are you trying to input the DEMO code that your main contact at Octopus EV has provided at this stage rather than the temporary 6 digit code?
Still not working?
- Have you checked that the DEMO code provided by your main contact at Octopus EV matches the DEMO code that you’ve input? E.g. Doesn’t contain any spaces within the code - “DEMO 2024” or “ DEMO2024”
- Are you trying to input the temporary 6 digit code at this stage rather than the DEMO code that your main contact at Octopus EV has provided?
In our experience, login issues can sometimes be caused by your IT/systems which can be harder to detect, if that’s the case, here are some more general IT troubleshooting tips which should help you gain access:
- Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies and tried again?
- Have you tried using a different web browser? E.g. Explorer, Chrome
- Have you tried opening the page in “Incognito” mode?
- Have you tried to gain access with another email address? E.g. a personal hotmail, gmail etc account
- Have you tried adding “+test” to your email address? You will still receive a temporary 6 digit code into your inbox as any characters, symbols or numbers after the “+” won’t be read by the quote tool system e.g. Joe.Bloggs+test@octopusev.com
